Sharma : Namaste DIALOGUES WITH GOD - MIND CONTROL

DIALOGUES WITH GOD - MIND CONTROL

Posted on Dec 26th, 2006 by Sharma : Namaste Sharma
[Originally translated by me from my own Hindi writing on Sunday 8 October 2006]

O God! When there are doubts about direction and goal, only you can assist. We can do only the efforts; you are the giver of results. Our efforts are like the cries of an infant. When the baby is hungry it cries and its mother takes care of the baby. Same way when we want something we do efforts and it's up to you to grant us what we want. Our efforts don't always mean that we can or should get what we strive for. It's up to you to determine what we deserve. There are countless restrictions for us and countless are the processes attached with life. By our own efforts neither can we make all things favorable nor can we get deliverance. The living entity is always motivated and inspired by its mind to do different things. The mind is always working. Even when we are sleeping this mind keeps us busy in dreams. In state of deepest sleep when we don't even dream this mind is at rest. After such a sleep we feel fresh. When mind takes a little rest we feel refreshing and if we give more rest to our mind we can feel blessed. Sleep and Samadhi has something common in them. Sleep comes on its own and has small benefits, while Samadhi is attained after continuous efforts and has immense benefits. When we are enlightened this mind is in control and gives us maximum benefit. Before enlightenment mind is always under influence of satva, rajas and tamas gunas. Our acts, thoughts are inspired by the state of mind. When the mind gets entangled in negative emotions & thoughts it takes us towards downfall. When mind gets positive energy, thoughts, inspiration, it ensures a rise. All the living entities are controlled and conditioned by mind. Uncontrolled mind makes us run pillar to post. Always restless, undecided, confused, without any aim or object; while controlled mind delivers us from all bondages.

It is very good to make our mind favorable to ourselves. We have not to do what our mind wants; our mind has to do what we want. It is possible when our mind is well pacified, free from all adulterations and pure. Directionless mind shall take us nowhere, controlled mind shall make us touch new heights. We request you O God! Please give us direction so that we are always on right path.
